Solubility Rules and Sherlock Holmes Lab

I checked homework and we quickly went over it.  It is vital that you not fall behind in this very short unit! The unit test is on Friday!

We did the Sherlock Holmes lab which involved mixing solutions in double replacement reactions.  Some solutions formed precipitates while others did not.  We learned about the rules of solubility and how to apply them.  We also learned about molecular, ionic and net ionic equations.

HW:  Identify the precipitates formed in the lab;   read 8.1-8.2; self-check 8.1; p. 223, #2,3 and p. 245 #3
