Naming Compounds

I was out today on the physics field trip.  The agenda for the day was:


HW:  Finish WS #1; Nomenclature WS #2 (Both due in packet); p. 108 #12abc, 41, adgh, 42abc, 44abc, 48, quiz next time on polyatomic ions
1.             DWU #2: Show the formation of calcium permanganate from its ions.
2.             Check HW and go over/ HW Quiz #10
3.             DWU #3:  The following 7 elements are diatomic: H2, N2, O2, F2, Cl2, Br2, I2           
                        a.  Locate them on your periodic table
                        b.  Show how strontium ions form.
                        c.  Show how iodide ions form
                        d.  show how strontium and iodine combine to make a neutral                                     compound.
